about us

André Bertolace, Founder
André holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and a M.Sc. in Management, Technology and Economics from ETH Zürich. Prior to founding Ex Indiciis André accumulated 10+ years of experience in the financial industry. He worked as cross-asset strategist targeting UHNW clients and as a quantitative market risk analyst at a big bank in Zürich, as quantitative trader at a CTA in Singapore and quantitative analyst in a derivatives house in Zürich. After concluding his studies and prior to joining the industry André worked as research assistant at ETH Zürich.
Nicolas Camenzind, Co-founder
Nicolas holds a BSc. in Mathematics and a MSc. with distinction in Mathematics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology - ETH Zürich. Before joining the entrepreneurial lifestyle he worked as a quantitative analyst at UBS modelling interest rate volatilities and its impact on the trading portfolio as part of the market risk methodology team. He is currently a Co-Founder of Ex Indiciis and SWISS FIN LAB where he applies quantitative models and data analytics to problems in the Fintech and Regtech area.
Prof. Peyman Mohajerin Esfahani, Scientific advisor
Peyman is an assistant professor in the Delft Center for Systems and Control at the Delft University of Technology. Prior to joining TU Delft, he held several research appointments at the Risk Analytics and Optimization Chair at EPFL, at the Automatic Control Laboratory at ETH Zürich, and at the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 2014 and 2016. He received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Sharif University of Technology, Iran, and the PhD degree from ETH Zürich.
